I’m a former high school teacher, a current stay-at-home mom, and a longtime lover of makeup. At the age of nine I bought a tube of orange Wet ‘n’ Wild lipstick, and thus began the epic love affair that continued into my twenties via the overzealous application of Benefit’s Hoola bronzer.

Now 28 years old, I feed my cosmetic compulsions by doing wedding makeup for my friends…and by continuing to overdose on the Hoola. I live with my hunky engineer husband and my new baby son in a Boston suburb, and you can read about my less frivolous obsessions at our other blog, Noon Family News.

PS: I’m a sorry photographer, an average cook, an excellent planner, an avid watcher of random television, and a rabid reader of Us Weekly, O magazine, and any mommyblog I happen to clap eyes on. (I used to read books–I mean, crikey, I used to be an English major–but that was before the Baby Apocalypto.)

Also: I am late to every trend and have only recently established an addiction to The Wire, the Twilight books and What Not to Wear. Plus, someone had to tell me in person that Ashlee Simpson named her son Bronx Wentz, even though I try to check the Celebrity Baby Blog daily.
